Filip & Company law firm assisted Bookster, the first book lending intermediary for companies in Romania, in the launch of Booksprint, a friendly self-publishing platform that supports all authors at the beginning of their journey.
The Filip & Company team has assisted in aspects such as the design of the contractual structure and agreements with authors and printers, the detailed configuration of the agreements governing the self-publishing services offered through the online platform, as well as in aspects concerning copyright and personal data protection.
“Booksprint transcends the concept of a business and is rather an encouragement to bring inner stories to life, to express the things we often cannot express out loud. Through Booksprint, anyone can turn their story into a printed work, and then decide whether they want to keep that story to themselves, share it with a small circle of close friends, or offer it to the world. We want this project to flourish and help bring stories worth telling and stories worth hearing to the forefront. We are glad to have had the opportunity to work together again. It was a great experience as always”, says Monica Stătescu, partner at Filip & Company.
The team involved in this project was coordinated by Monica Stătescu (partner) and included Bianca Chera (senior associate), Marius Gheldiu (associate) and Diana Gavra (senior associate).
