The Council of the European Union adopted its position (its general approach) on a regulation aimed at facilitating the declaration by electronic means of cross-border posting of workers within the European Union.
A proposal for a new regulation seeks to reduce the administrative burden on businesses by fully digitising the submission of transnational posting declarations and to reduce the administrative burden on national authorities, which will be able to monitor compliance with the Posting of Workers Directive more easily.
The online platform would include a new functionality that would allow service providers to upload documents relevant to the posting of workers, replacing national posting declarations for those Member States that choose to adopt this digital interface.
