Mihnea has worked on some of the most significant M&A and capital markets transactions in Romania and has developed expertise in various industries, such as energy, telecommunications and technology. He has diverse experience in other areas, including competition, regulatory and corporate compliance, and holds a LL.M. degree from University of California, Berkeley.
Highlights of his activity include assisting:
- a leading global fund manager dedicated to greenfield renewable energy investments, in relation to signing and closing the acquisition of a large-scale wind farm in Romania, including regulatory and structuring aspects, RWI insurance, construction, project procurement and implementation aspects, and the application for state aid under Romania’s CfD support scheme, as well as exploring other M&A opportunities in Romania;
- an independent fuel distributor, with respect to the due diligence investigation for the acquisition of a gas stations portfolio operated by a multinational energy corporation, as well as strategic regulatory assistance;
- a leading global investor in sustainable infrastructure, in relation to its investment in a 450MW wind farm under development in Romania;
- a leading global investor in sustainable infrastructure, in relation to its investment in a 1GW solar energy project in Romania;
- a regional investor in renewable energy, in relation to the acquisition of a solar energy project located in Romania.
