Monica has advised on some of the most significant M&A and capital markets transactions in Romania in the past years, as well as on complex software development and licensing agreements
Highlights of his activity include assisting:
- a financial investment company with solid experience on the Romanian market, in the acquisition of a significant shareholding in the Romanian software producer MWARE Solutions, a company specialized in Big Data, unstructured data, artificial intelligence and digitalisation solutions;
- an universal bank in the transfer of part of BCR Fleet Management’s operational leasing business to the Arval group;
- an innovation-driven specialty pharmaceutical company, in relation to the sale of its pharmaceutical retail and wholesale operations in Romania to Dr. Max Group, a pharmacy chain owned by Penta Investments;
- one of the largest privately-owned business groups in Romania in relation to the exercise of exit rights arising from the joint-venture concluded with Unicredit Bank Austria AG in relation to Unicredit Tiriac Bank SA;
- the largest platform of extra-salary benefits for employees in Romania in its acquisition by Edenred, the world leader in prepaid service vouchers, during all the stages of the process;
- a private limited company in connection with the sale of the majority packages of shares held in EcoPaper SA and EcoPack SRL, part of a top integrated packaging and paper group in Romania, to DS Smith Plc, a leading British-based international packaging business for €208m;
- a Romanian entrepreneur in relation to the acquisition of a Romanian company active in the postal services from the Austrian Post.
