Filip & Company Law Firm assisted Dutch bank Coöperatieve Rabobank U.A. in the process of granting two loan facilities with an overall amount of EUR 37 million to port operator Umex S.A.. The first loan aims at financing the acquisition and installation of a silo in the Port of Constanta, while the second loan will finance the building of a storage for bulk freight in the same Port of Constanta.
The loan facility is secured by a policy issued by EKF, the Danish export credit facility agency. On this project, Filip & Company teamed up with the international law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.
“This transaction adds to our rich portfolio of financing projects, as we have been involved in numerous transactions of this kind over the last years. We are delighted that we had the opportunity of assisting Coöperatieve Rabobank U.A on these projects and we are glad to see that European banks passporting to Romania still have a strong appetite for financing Romanian projects”, said Alexandra Manciulea.
The Filip & Company team was coordinated by Alexandru Bîrsan and Alexandra Manciulea, as parteners, and Camelia Ianțuc (associate) stands out as an essential member of the team project.
