Diana is a member of our team since 2018 and she is part of the Commercial department, advising clients on complex data protection projects, new technologies and digitalization, contracts, consumer protection and life sciences & pharma. While pursuing several specialisations, which enable her to provide integrated advice for daily legal matters and special projects for clients from various business industries, her main specialisations are privacy & data protection and contracts. Prior to joining us, Diana has gained experience in practice areas such as M&A and competition, in various industries such as banking, transport, pharma and medical.
Highlights of her activity include assisting:
- reviewing the privacy policy, consent forms and providing advice on compliance of the personal data flows and review of screens for an online banking application for an Austrian bank, as well as advice on various day-to-day personal data privacy matters related to the launch of the product and provision of banking services on the Romanian market.
- assisting clients from various industries such as banking, automotive, IT, food retail, logistics and outsourcing services, in relation to management of personal data breach incidents, including in relation to notifications to the Romanian data protection supervisory authority and data subjects, risk assessments, relationship with data processors, coordinating information gathering, implementation of response and remediation measures, as well as communication strategies.
- preparing the terms and conditions and specific advice on consent flows and consumer protection for online platforms/applications for e-commerce for retailers (hypermarkets, sale of electronics), loan intermediation, telemedicine and medical concierge services, banking and beyond banking services, services for tenants, lending of books and sale of jewellery.
- review and negotiation of a franchise agreement for a major international company active in the sports retail industry and general assistance for implementation of the franchise system in Romania (business transfer of existing stores to franchisees, closure of stores, corporate approvals etc.).
- drafting and negotiating an international sale-purchase agreement of equipment for a production line for a major company active in the bakery industry, which involved all services related to the installation, testing and commissioning of the equipment, as well as specifics related to payment though letter of credit.
