With over 10 years of professional experience, Diana is part of the firm’s Commercial department, advising clients on complex data protection projects, new technologies and digitalization, contracts, consumer protection and life sciences & pharma. While pursuing several specialisations, which enable her to provide integrated advice for daily legal matters and special projects for clients from various business industries, her main specialisations are privacy & data protection and contracts. Prior to joining us, Diana has gained experience in practice areas such as M&A and competition, in various industries such as banking, transport, pharma and medical.
Highlights of her activity include assisting:
- reviewing the privacy policy, consent forms and providing advice on compliance of the personal data flows and review of screens for an online banking application for an Austrian bank, as well as advice on various day-to-day personal data privacy matters related to the launch of the product and provision of banking services on the Romanian market;
- on day-to-day commercial and privacy & data protection matters for a newly established IT services provider in Romania. The assistance involved review and negotiation of contracts with various vendors, and preparing personal data protection documents and advice in relation to employees, helping the Client with the establishment and operation of the business in Romania;
- an important provider of clinical trials services for reviewing home nursing services agreement with international clients and subcontractors, as well as drafting template agreements and assistance during audits from clients;
- a large production company in relation to an investigation from the Romanian supervisory authority, following a data breach incident caused by an employee acting in breach of company rules. The assistance involved preparing response letters to the supervisory authority, assistance during the investigation and preparing response to data subjects requests;
- during requests from data subjects on access to personal data, including assistance and guidance to the client during gathering of relevant information, extracting the copy of personal data, and preparing response letters, for various clients;
- review and negotiation of a franchise agreement for a major international company active in the sports retail industry and general assistance for implementation of the franchise system in Romania (business transfer of existing stores to franchisees, closure of stores, corporate approvals etc.);
- an international sale-purchase agreement of equipment for a production line for a major company active in the bakery industry, which involved all services related to the installation, testing and commissioning of the equipment, as well as specifics related to payment though letter of credit.
